NO PAIN NO CANE!

With Claire Kelly

This class will be an examination of blown glass sculpting and including colorful cane techniques into your studio practice. I am a big proponent of making parts and using hot glass time wisely. I will be covering many of the techniques that I use in my work; including using solid color cane and making "suppio" (little tubes) for parts. As a class we will work together to design and execute effects, patterns, and forms that use cane and blown glass sculpting together. I want to students to come away from this class with the tools they need to include color and pattern into their work by thinking creatively about cane.
