Social Distancing Protocol
BAGI is known for generously sharing the magic and fun of making glass art and we are committed to providing a safe environment for our customers and staff. We have worked diligently to identify and implement social distancing protocols that achieve enjoyment and safety. The core of our social distancing protocols include that all students and staff are required to wear a mask while on site and practice 6ft distances apart as much as possible. Tools and high touch surfaces will be disinfected by staff in between students and classes. Below are our detailed procedures.

Tools and high touch surfaces will be disinfected by staff in between students and classes. Below are our detailed procedures.
Pre-class Preparation
- Please bring your own mask. All students and staff are required to wear a mask while on site.
- You are welcome to bring your own protective eyewear.
- Please expect to remain 6 ft. apart for the duration of your visit.
When you arrive
- When you enter the building, please have your mask on and take a seat in the waiting area where chairs are provided for your comfort and are spaced 6 ft apart.
- The BAGI Greeter will call you individually to check in.
- The greeter will collect your redeemed groupon or view it on your device.
- You will sign our digital waiver.
- You will be given disinfected protective eyewear, if you did not bring eyewear. (Flameworking students will be issued special glasses for the torch)
- Finally, you have a colored line to follow to your studio class. Once there take a seat or stand at one of the marked spots.
During Class
- As much as possible, remain 6ft. apart from others for the duration of your class.
- Please wear your mask during class.
- We provide eyewear and other safety equipment to help protect you for the duration of your visit.
- You will find hand sanitizer in several locations for your convenience.
- You are welcome to wash your hands in the washrooms. Soap and paper towels are available.
- When you leave the studio, walk through the side doors and walk through the black gate into the parking lot.
Curbside Pickup
- Your glass work won’t be available to take home on the day of your class. All projects need to be annealed or fired, then wrapped, bagged and labeled with date, your name, and what you made.
- Your glass work will be ready for pick up one week after your class, unless otherwise notified.
- Please call (408) 993-2244 when you arrive in our parking lot. Please provide the first name, date of class, and name of class. A staff member will bring your items out to you.
Facility and Programming Modifications BAGI has implemented
- Instructors will wear masks.
- Class start times have been staggered to facilitate a smooth flow in the check-in process and area.
- Class times have changed to allow for disinfecting activities between classes.
- Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the studio for staff and customer use.
- Staff frequently wash their hands with soap and water in the washrooms.
- Leather gloves are available for purchase in the gift shop for interested customers.
- Along with regular cleaning, staff spray all handles with 70% IPA in washrooms between classes.
- All tools, handles, surfaces, eye wear, are disinfected with 70% IPA between classes, renters, and events
- All blowpipes are squirted with 90%+ IPA, including inside the pipe, and wiped outside after each use.
- All blowpipes are dipped in a tube of 90%IPA and dried before and after each use.
- All block handles are sprayed with 70% IPA.
- Used eyewear is collected in each studio after class and wiped with alcohol 70% IPA before being used again.
- Staff wear gloves when emptying annealers and kilns and wrapping glass projects for pick-up.
- Staff use a daily checklist to track the implemented Social Distancing Measures.
- All glass projects are picked up curbside.
