Kids Glassblowing - GB101K

Age : 9 and above
Duration : Two - 2 hour sessions. Welcome to our "Afterschool sessions".  All "Afterschool sessions" will run from 4pm - 6pm.  The first session will begin on a Tuesday and the second session will occur on a Thursday.    Parents must remain at the studio during the class for students 12 and younger.
Description : Student will learn basic glass blowing skills while creating their very own flower, paperweight, ornament, and drinking glass or vase. Instructors will closely guide the students in the creation of each project. Kids will be provided with proper safety instruction and equipment. All supplies are included.  Please download and complete the Parent/Child Release Form and bring it to the first day of class.
Fee : $180
Max # students : 6
Min # students  : 2
If we do not meet the minimum # of students, we will cancel the class. We will work with the remaining students to place them in another time slot. 
Prerequisites : None 
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of class.

Kids Glassblowing GB102K -  Next Steps in Kids Glassblowing

Duration : Four - 2 hour sessions
Description :   All "Afterschool sessions" will run from 4pm - 6pm.  The Summer GB102K classes will run Tuesdays and Thursdays for 2 weeks. You can choose a morning or afternoon session.  However, you cannot mix the session start times. (ie. start first session in the morning and start the second session in the afternoon.) The student will build upon lessons learned in GB101K moving toward more blowing exercises with cups and vases.  The student must have taken the glassblowing class, GB101K.
Fee :  $275
Max # students : 6
Min # students : 2
If we do not meet the minimum # of students, we will cancel the class. We will work with the remaining students to place them in another time slot.
Prerequisites : GB101K
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of class.

New Kid's Glassblowing Practice Sessions!  Retain the skills you learned in class!  Please check the schedule for open dates!

This is a great way to share the bench with same-level students and build skills! The sessions are typically held weekly.
Fee: $25
Pre-requisite: Students who have completed the Kid's Glassblowing, GB102K at BAGI, are eligible to participate in the Kid's Glassblowing Practice Sessions.

Max. # of students: 4

Kids Torchworking - T101K - Beginning Borosilicate

Age : 12 and above
Duration : Two - 2 hour sessions. You can choose a morning or afternoon session. The first session begins on a Tuesday and second session will occur on a Thursday. You cannot mix the session start times. (ie. start first session in the morning and start the second session in the afternoon.)
Description : Join us in this introductory class with borosilicate glass. We will explore basic techniques for solid sculpture, creating small animals such as turtles, penguins, and fish.    And we will cover color application, using beautiful colors to add character and beauty to your pieces.  Explanations, demonstrations, and hands-on practice will be given to the students, so everyone will leave this class with a piece they have made. Bring your imagination and creativity, and we will melt glass to create some beautiful treasures! All supplies are included.  Please download and complete the Parent/Child Release Form and bring it to the first day of class.
Cost : $120
Max # of students : 4 students
Min # of students : 2

Kids Torchworking - T102K Pendants

Age : 12 - above
Duration : Two - 2 hour sessions, 1 day
Description :We will focus on building a clear glass loop on a variety of shapes including circles, teardrops and triangles. Fine tune your skills with the introduction to torch blown hollow pendants. All supplies are included.  Please download and complete the Parent/Child Release Form and bring it to the first day of class.

This class runs from 9am - 2pm with a one hour break from 11am - Noon.

Kids Beadmaking - T103K   Beadmaking with Moretti glass

Age : 12 - above 
Duration : Two - 2 hour sessions
Description : You can choose a morning or afternoon session. The first session begins on a Monday and second session will occur on a Wednesday. You cannot mix the session start times. (ie. start first session in the morning and start the second session in the afternoon.)
Each student will learn the basic steps needed to begin creating beautiful glass beads using different application techniques.  This class will utilize Moretti soft glass.
Max # of students : 4
Min # of students : 2
If we do not meet the minimum # of students in one class, we will cancel the class. We will work with the remaining students to place them in another time slot. Please download and complete the Child Release Form and bring with you to the first session.
Prerequisites : None
Cost :  $120

Family Fusing - F101K 

Age : 7 - above
Duration : 2 hours per session
Description : Parent and child will work together closely to create a plate or suncatcher. All supplies are included. 
Max # of students : 10 pairings of Parent and child.

Min # of students :  6 pairings
If we do not meet the minimum # of students in one class, we will cancel the class. We will work with the remaining students to place them in another time slot. Please download and complete both Release Forms. One for the Parent and one for the Child. You can download both files from links at the top of the page.  Bring both files with you to class.
Prerequisites : None

Cost :  $38

To Register: Either register online, call 408-993-2244 or send an e-mail to studio@bagi.org. Payment is required upon registration. We accept Visa, MasterCard & personal checks if received 2 weeks prior to the scheduled class.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made at 7 days prior to the first day of a class will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made 3 days prior to the first day of class will be issued a 50% refund. In the event that BAGI were to cancel a class(es) a full refund, for the class(es) will be issued.
Liability: Students must be 9+ years of age for glassblowing related classes. Students must be 12+ years of age for flameworking & kilnworking related classes. Students under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a BAGI issued liability release form. Students must inform BAGI, at the time of registration, if they have special requirements due to health related conditions.
