The Bay Area Glass Institute (BAGI) presents the 3rd Annual Great Glass Farmer’s Marketat the Triton Museum of Art at 1505 Warburton Avenue in Santa Clara. The public is invited to attend the sale on Saturday, April 3, 2004, 10am-5pm.
Glass carrots, bell peppers, eggs, tomatoes, garlic, artichokes, pears, strawberries, flowers, and other related farmer’s market items, displayed in farmer’s market stands designed by each individual artist, will adorn the rotunda and the Cowel Room of the museum. Average prices range from $25-$80.
“The Great Glass Farmer’s Market is a great opportunity for our artists to explore a range of forms based on the natural world. Our fruits and vegetables are exquisite and go beyond representation. They are truly beautiful small-scale sculptures,” said Susan J. Longini, BAGI Executive Director. “It is also great partnering with the Triton Museum of Art again to further promote glass to the art-supporting communities.”
The glass art sale benefits the programs at the Triton Museum of Art, such as exhibitions, development and ArtReach in the hospitals and program development at the Bay Area Glass Institute.
