The Great Glass Pumpkin Patch
The pumpkin patch was BAGI’s first public exhibit of glass arts created by local artists. In the first year, BAGI patches were held at MIT, Santa Fe Children’s Museum, and Palo Alto Art Center, generating great interest in the glass arts and BAGI across the county. Since the first year, it has been held exclusively in Palo Alto. In later years, live flameworking demonstrations were added.

The patch has become a hot spot for glass pumpkin aficionados, with people lining up early to buy the best pumpkins.
A much-anticipated event, it benefits the children’s art education programs at the Palo Alto Art Center, and expansion of BAGI public programming. Held in partnership with the Palo Alto Art Center and the Palo Alto Art Center Foundation.
