The Bay Area Glass Institute is a not-for-profit educational institution that educates the public about the glass arts by teaching a variety of glass-working classes, offering free public demonstrations, and bringing in international and locally renowned guest artists to conduct free demonstrations and lectures.

Your donations help support the Institute’s mission and contributes to our stability and growth.
Donating appreciated stocks or mutual funds held longer than one year are generally exempt from capital gains taxes and entitles the donor to a tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities at the time of transfer. Such gifts are easy to make.

Just download and fill out a Letter of Authorization, then supply your stock broker with this information and send a copy to BAGI.

Please consult with your tax adviser regarding your specific situation, and whether this option is appropriate for you.
