Please note that a username/password are required to book time, while anyone is welcome to view the calendar. If you would like to book time but need a username/password, please call BAGI to be added to the system.



Some basic rules:
- Please also note that whether booked online or by phone, cancellations must be 48 hours prior to the start of the rented slot.
- More than one qualified person must be in the studio at all times. If you intend to blow glass solo, let the staff know in the remarks section.

Part of BAGI's mission is to offer affordable glass studio rental for local artists to develop their art. Our glassblowing and torchworking rental rates are lower then most studios nationwide. 

Hours
We have 2 benches that are rented in 3 hour & 45 minutes chunks of time Monday-Sunday:
10:00am - 1:45pm
2:00pm -  5:45pm

Rates*
Bench 1 (large glory-hole):     $160 per slot
Bench 2 (small glory-hole):     $130 per slot
Bench 2 (ex-large glory-hole): $190 per slot

Rental Requirements
Renters must have taken a Glassblowing 1 class, or equivalent, to rent time at BAGI. Please contact Chris Moore at 408-993-2244 or email studio@bagi.org to discuss booking a slot.
Rental Fee Includes Use Of

• One bench
• One glory-hole
• 25 pounds of glass
• One-half of an annealer with 24 hour cycle
• Pipes and punties
• Oxy-Natural gas finsihing torches
• Blocks
• One-half of a warming garage
• One-half Color box
• Hand tools (shears, diamond shears, jacks, tweezers)
• Mapp and propane gas torches
• Pastorelli and fork
• Lap wheels
• Sand blaster

Renters Responsibilities

• Renters must come 1 hour prior to their slot to light-up the shop and unload the annealer. If renter isn't able to do so, please contact staff and ask them if they are able to assist in the shop light-up.
• Renters must be cleared out of the work space by the
• time the next shift and/or class begins.
• Renters should be mindful of their fellow renters as it relates to safety and equipment usage.
  

Hours

• We have 8 torch stations. Each station includes a Nortel Minor burner. Our torches run an oxy-propane mix. If you prefer to bring your own torch head... we have 2 stations that have adapters on them to accommodate you. Rental slots are in 2 hour blocks of time Monday-Sunday.
