Hot Glass Sculpture

This 4-day workshop will introduce you to working with solid glass. Skills that will be addressed are bit application, proper tool use, using the garage and hot torches, creating texture, and working asymmetrically.

Although we will be spending a lot of time sculpting solid glass, many of these skills can be used to embellish your blown glass vessels. You will walk away from this class with the understanding of how to make representative and abstract sculptural objects and some new tricks for making more elaborate vessels.

Come in with ideas and inspirational pictures, we’re going to hit the ground running!
