HELP BAGI BUILD OUR FLAMEWORKING STUDIO
OUR GOAL IS $70,000
Currently BAGI’s flameworking program is essentially non-existent.
We have a small studio with two kilns, hand tools, and a sampling of
glass. In order to even get started, we need the most important, and most expensive, component of a glass studio – a ventilation system.
Then we need, of second most importance, money to bring in master artists
to teach students and share their art with the public.
We also need some more tools, kilns, compressed oxygen, and updated
workbenches.
Some items that the $70,000 will provide:
Ventilation system - Estimated $8,000-$20,000
Workbenches with fire proof surfaces - Estimated $3,000
Lighting for workbenches (plus wiring) - $1,000
2 Front-loading, table top kilns - $6,180
4 Bench rollers - $640.00
2 pair Kevlar gloves - $136.00
Visiting Master Artist - Approx. $3,500 each
Glass (borosilicate and “soft” glass) - $1,500 +
We invite you to explore our site for a glimpse of all that we do, and what fun we
have doing it! If you would like a tour of BAGI or a flameworking demonstration,
just please contact the Joan Phillips at joan@bagi.org.
Any contribution amount would be more than appreciated and it is a tax-free. Thank you in advance for helping build our flameworking studio.
