Kids Glassblowing - GB101K

Age : 7 and older

Duration : Two - 2 hour sessions. Parents must remain at the studio during the class for students 10 and younger.

Description : This exciting, fun-filled class will introduce students to the art of glass blowing through a number of hands on exercises. Students will learn basic glass blowing skills while creating their very own flower, paperweight, ornament, and drinking glass or vase. Instructors will closely guide the students in the creation of each project. Kids will be provided with proper safety instruction and equipment. All supplies are included.  Please download and complete the Parent/Child Release Form and bring it to the first day of class.

Fee : $180
Max # students : 6
Min # students  : 3
If we do not meet the minimum # of students, we will cancel the class.  If space allows parents are welcome to enroll prior to the first day of class.
Prerequisites : None 
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of class.

Kids Glassblowing GB102K -  Next Steps in Kids Glassblowing

Age  : 9 and older
Duration : Two - 4 hour sessions

Description :  This course is designed to give students a more comprehensive understanding of the glass blowing process. Students will learn to become more self-sufficient in working glass through a number of progressive hands on exercises. These exercises will introduce the students to the skills and abilities they will need to learn to be able to blow glass safely and effectively. Students will build upon lessons introduced in GB101K and will eventually learn how to create a piece from start to finish by themselves.
Fee :  $275
Max # students : 6
Min # students : 3
If we do not meet the minimum # of students, we will cancel the class.  If space allows parents are welcome to enroll prior to the first day of class.
Prerequisites : GB101K
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of class.

Family Fusing F101K

Age: 7 and older
Duration: 2 hours per session
Description: You and your child will spend 2 hours sharing a glass making experience together in a safe, relaxed environment without the added heat like our Glass Blowing 101 and 102 classes. Together you and your child will create either a plate, suncatcher or 4 coasters with a wide variety of colored flat glass. You'll learn how to safely cut glass to create your unique design! We will fire the glass and have it ready for you to pick up in a few days.
Max # of students: 10 pairings of Parent and child.
Min # of students :  6 pairings
If we do not meet the minimum # of students in one class, we will cancel the class. We will work with the remaining students to place them in another time slot. Please download and complete both Release Forms. One for the Parent and one for the Child. You can download both files from links at the top of the page.  Bring both files with you to class.

Cost:  $38

To Register: Either register online, call 408-993-2244 or send an e-mail to studio@bagi.org. Payment is required upon registration. We accept Visa, MasterCard & personal checks if received 2 weeks prior to the scheduled class.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made at 7 days prior to the first day of a class will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made 3 days prior to the first day of class will be issued a 50% refund. In the event that BAGI were to cancel a class(es) a full refund, for the class(es) will be issued.
Liability: Students must be 9+ years of age for glassblowing related classes. Students must be 12+ years of age for flameworking & kilnworking related classes. Students under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a BAGI issued liability release form. Students must inform BAGI, at the time of registration, if they have special requirements due to health related conditions.
